Iowa Small Business Loan Program Overview

Recently, launch of
the Iowa Small Business Loan Program (http://www.isbloan.org)
was
announced. The $5 million program was created by the Iowa
Legislature during the 2010 session to promote the creation and
retention of jobs in Iowa’s economy by providing financing to eligible
small businesses. Join us Thursday to learn more about the loan
program from Jason Yates, ISBL Program Administrator at the Iowa
Foundation for Microenterprise & Community Vitality. Also
joining us will be State Representative Bob Kressig.
State Representative Kressig will share with entrepreneurs why the
Small Business Loan program will help spur Iowa's economic growth and
what other initiatives the legislature is working on to further support
entrepreneurship. Bob Kressig has been a State Representative in
the Iowa House for District 19 since in 2004. Bob Kressig has standing
assignments with the Appropriations, Commerce, Environmental
Protection, Local Government (Vice Chair) and Public Safety
Committees. He also serves as Chair of the Economic Development
Appropriations Subcommittee.
